Wirklich hübsche Bilder zu Thorwal mit einigen Konzeptzeichnungen. Gefällt mir gut, als Werbeprodukt für das PC Spiel kann aber deutlich günstiger werden. 10€ sind zu viel

Das Abenteuer hat leider zu wenig Platz auf den 16 Seiten. Die Autorin hat eine ziemlich gute Idee, verwebt den aventurischen Hintergrund der Borbaradkampagne mit den neuen Entwicklungen. Die Namenlosen Tage können aber schwerlich an 1-2 Abenden erzählt und auf 16 Seiten niedergeschrieben werden, daher empfehle ich hier noch mehr Vorbereitung des Spielleiters. Nichtsdesto trotz: 5/5 Punkte, mal wieder ein richtig gutes Heldenwerk

I've read reviews from some Torg Eternity fans that say this is their favorite mega-length extended prepublished adventure and I can see their point... the adventure does an excellent job of capturing the essence of the mythic quest across a fantasy land while deftly interspersing the elements of our "real world" Earth and it's interaction with said fantasy land, Aysle.. the written descriptions of the scenes the PC's see are startlingly beautiful (though, as I've mentioned in my review of the godbox, I would caution the GM against reading the parts where it goes on to say for example " You reluctantly tear your gaze away from the sight before you" amending that to something like " Any normal person would find themselves hard pressed to tear their gaze away from the sight before them" and let the player decide how their PC reacts.. players are (understandably) touchy about a GM dictating how their beloved creation.. their player chara...

The Aysle sourcebook was originally going to get a "3" rating from me but I've bumped that up to "four out of five" after reading the revenge of the carredon and the short but excellent aysle "black cauldron" themed adventure in the Delphi Council Rising Storm book... still, this is the only Aysle sourcebook where I would say purchasing and reading the original 1990's Aysle sourcebook is not just recommended like I said in the Torg Eternity cyberpapacy sourcebook review in terms of purchasing the original 1990's cyberpapack book .. no, in this case with Aysle I would argue that the purchase of the original 1990's Aysle book is mandatory. I'll get to why in a moment but if you purchase all three books together... this one, the revenge of the carredon mega-adventure book (which is a worthwhile purchase in it's own right and should be seen as the companion piece to the torg eternity aysle sourcebook) and the 1990's Aysl...

I played Torg when it came out in 1990 and immediately fell in love with the theme - warring realities trying to conquer/convert our own reality (despite Core Earth's production of 'the Macerana' in Year 3 of the Possibilty Wars - that should have led to defeat!). The original game gave me the tools to play a game with so many concepts at the same time and I and the friends I played with had many great adventures (with the occasional ability for players, as a collective to, as a matter of canon, effect change on the Possibility Wars directly - you didn't often see that in RPGs then). So when I became aware of the reboot, I had high hopes and Torg Eternity did not disappoint. The core rules neatly explain all the cosms and the laws of their realities (and include from the get go in the core rules, one of the early examples of player community influence on a game from the original incarnation - Tharkold), then go on to explain character creation for all the cosm...

Sehr gelungenes Programm, dass die Charaktererstellung enorm erleichtert. Mir fehlt noch eine Möglichkeit für einen Freitext um ein wenig Hintergrund zum Charakter etc. aufschreiben zu können.

A nice introduction adventure, and really cool with the "explainer" boxes for new players, so you don't have to read a lot of rules before you start adventuring. The adventure itself is well written, going through the "hero's" daily life dilemmas (be rich, don't get caught etc...) Fighting is a bit simple and tedious though, the end fight took me 17 rounds rolling dice for attack, parry/dodge and damage, and the only reason i don't give this a 5-star rating....

Im Grunde ein wirklich schönes Ding, jedoch und vor allem seit der 2.8 Version mit vielen Fehlern und Nervtötern. Man kann alles bearbeiten, eigene Sachen integrieren und viele schöne Sachen. Negatives: Der Bogen braucht auch bei einem HighEnd-PC ziemlich lange, bis er lädt. Noch nerviger, wenn man Geschlechter wählt, weshalb ich männlich/weiblich Bögen separat gespeichert habe. Bei vielen, die sich nicht so ein PC leisten können, kann es bis zur halbe Minute dauern, bis sich da was aufbaut, was schon ziemlich blöd ist. Dazu noch, wenn man Werte ändert, kommt es oft vor, dass es in 2-3 Minutentakt ebenfalls dazu kommt, dass es sich kurz (ca.5-6 Sekunden) hängt, aber dann weitergeht. Ebenfalls seit 2.8: Wenn man einige Professionen (wie zB Tierkrieger, Trollzacker Profs., etc.) wählen möchte, kehrt der Bogen nicht mehr auf die originelle Seite zurück. Der Bogen berechnet zwar alles und fügt alle Werte hinzu, aber man kann die erste Seite nicht mehr verwenden. Ich denke, dass ...

Briefly, we have an evil warlock taking control of a small coven of witches. But one witch, Alevtia, refuses to submit. Luckily she finds the heroes. That's you all. This is a detective story and wilderness adventure. So social skills are just as important as combat here. The characters will need to meet with the other members of the sisterhood to get all the details they need. But that also puts them in contact with the Warlock Codax, and he needs items from the heroes (hair, blood, saliva) to make his curses work. There are plenty of interesting tables of rumors and various locations all throughout...

(further edit and update.. after some further thought and having just completed the fires of ra extended adventure - for which I have a written review up if you'd like to read it - I've raised my rating from 4 stars to 5 for the godbox .. the godbox has it's own strengths .. a more extended look at the denizens of the Land Below than say the Fires of Ra provides for the Amazons .. but also the weaknesses mentioned below, weaknesses that aren't quite as much of a problem in the Nile Empire given it's " Why are you stopping to think so long? Action, action right now! " feel which makes both adventures not going into as much detail as I would like at times less of a problem for the Fires of Ra than the Godbox.. still, as I said below this adventure does an excellent job of capturing what it's like to adventure in the Living Land cosm) (it's worth noting before I begin this review that the torg eternity folks at one point generously made this a...

Is this adventure worth the eighteen dollars (American) one would spend? I would definitely say yes with the same caveat I gave in my review of the godbox adventure... there are certain (not all but certain) NPC's who could use a more fleshed out background description and/or write up of their motivations and there are certain portions of the adventure not as fully fleshed out as I would like where the GM will need to come up with his or her own answers if the players and/or PC's start asking questions about said blanks... also there's an absence of maps in some (not all) of the presented battle situations which could annoy GM's and players who are used to such though I would argue that a Google search of the internet will provide plenty of free rpg maps that can be adapted to these situations and that there are some chase scenes so complex in nature that a single map simply won't cover it and the GM and players will have to make do with a completely narrativ...

The conflict between Kor and his mother Rondra is core to the Theatreknight campaign, and also sheds some light onto what is going on in Arivor's Doom. This is fantastic game resource from which you can create tons of handouts, given NPCs flavour, and learn lots about the lore of Aventuria. I only wish we had more of these phantastic books.
