Artifacts adds depth to a system that, while working fine on it's own, really benefits from the added depth. This supplement adds everything, from extended rules on energy, fighting and even memetics.

My personal highlights were the rules that make it easier for players and DMs alike to logically and easily create tight-knit groups with feasible backgrounds,

I also particularly liked how this isn't just a plain rules text, but incorporates worldbuilding wherever it can. It made the rules a lot easier to get through.

Amazing work on this one again, I love the new content that adds some more depth to the already great Degenesis Rebirth Edition. You have a lot of more cool stuff to create even more intertwined characters for your group (or just great inspiration for building NPCs). You get more content in different fields, for example survival, health, energy, economy and of course arsenal and artifacts. This is a great collection for diving deeper into the rich world of Degenesis, the artwork is absolutely outstanding and the new ideas are working fantastic in addition to the rules and the world of the Rebirth Edition.

Artifacts is all in its title : an Artifact. Pretty and shining, full of new content ready to be implemented in your current or new games sessions. The book expends the already existing core rules in every possible ways, new rules, new potentials, new items and a bunch of cool artworks. Among the new rules how not to mention the legacy system. In many roleplaying games, players are just some sorts of murdering hobo, wandering across the world ; in Degenesis, every character has a story to tell. With the legacy system, every player should be able to create a past for his character, with its advantages... and drawback.

I will not spoil the book any further, the best you can do right know is to read it by yourself. However if you're still not convinced, and you've always wondered, how to create a group dynamic, simulate wounds, hunger, weather, or memetics, this book will provide the answer to all your questions.

Degenesis Khatarsys brought an elastic system that well visualized the world an setting of Degenesis. ARTIFACT is a must have addition increasing the character choices and adding incredible immersive addition including Psychonauts remains, Artifacts and rules for Memetics. Artifact expands the Potentials list to an enourmous 15 per Cult (There were 6 per Cult before). The other extra feature are all good solutions or things that spices up your game. I seriusly can't think about Degenesis without the rules expansion that Artifact has brought. Also, as always, includes some AMAZING ARTWORKS.

"Degenesis: Artifacts" is the first non-adventure supplement, adding a.o.t. new rules for character creation & group management, combat and the economic system. Also it compiles new potentials from the adventure triology "Jehammed's Will" and features some bygone artifacts, the most interesting parts, however, I found to be rules on (sleepers) memetics and ways to "harvest" Psychonautic remains. The new rules only go into greater depth at certain points of the KatharSys, imho where it is needed most: Degenesis crucial point in a matter of PC creation and PC dynamics for a GM is getting along with a group of possibly hostile Characters due to the Concept/Culture/Cult-System. In Artifacts GMs find some nice additions to their toolboxes and with the small (and also free) supplement "Troika" you even get an idea of how it could be done. So maybe "Artifacts" is not a must have (Rebirth is all you need for years of gaming already). But you want it: it is more superb Degenesis art, more depth to rules and more fun (to be honest: hunting Homo Degenesis is not fun).

Artifacts is a full-fledged book containing other rules in order to boost up your games like travel, hunger, thirst, energy, economy, potentials, new pieces of equipment. Everything you could have dreamed for. The major entry for me would be the adding of Legacies and Scars. Those chapters speak about the lore of your group and PCs. Legacy proposes backstories for your Pcs to choose from, it is then easier for you and them to create a whole character, those backgrounds offer them with advantages AND drawbacks because nothing really comes for free. My players used it not so long ago and it was really the best tool, it totally inspired them to write the best BG for their characters. The other major entry would be Scars and Alignments, the latter word speaks more for itself. This mechanic proposes a way to "reward" your PCs as a group along with providing enlightnement on the reasons for such a group to assemble. The Scars you can collect are then used to give bonuses or to increase reputation of the group, really perfect for campaigns.

Artifacts is the best tool for you to use in your campaigns and a great help when it comes to provide more realism to your games.

Artifacts is a suplement, which contains some new and upgraded mechanics for "Katharsys", tools for game master to build more complex characters with expanded backstories, some new items to use for your players, and artifacts. Great addition for every GM.

Artifacts is a supplement for degenesis that includes new rules for character creation, combat, health; new weapons, objects and an economy system; new potentials and surviving rules; and, what I found more interesting, rules about memetics, new rules that deal with Psichonauts' corpes, and new artifacts. It provides plenty of new rules which will flavor your campaigns as well as your characters. While it's not mandatory to play degenesis or its campaigns, it will provide you plenty of in-depth rules that allow a more realistic game as well as a game where palers and the artifacts are the main plot. When used along the new character creation rules, this manual can give you enough seeds to play for months, traveling and discovering the mysteries around the world of degenesis.

ARTIFACTS expands the original DEGENESIS universe with a huge load of crunch for all kinds of situations (travelling, combat etc.). You can pick the modules you like to integrate it in your GM style, you don't have to use them all. The most amazing part sure is the "Legacy" section, which sets up your character with some hooks for their background story. Also very useful is the massive amount of "Potentials" (see it as special powers a character can learn and improve) for advanced characters, grouped into the 13 cults and common Potentials for everyone.

The art and layout style is as always phenomenal – this book is layouted on black pages with golden lettering, stunningly beautiful. This alone justifies buying the physical copy!

Artifacts is the first major update for the core rules of degenesis rebirth. You will finde several new mechanics regarding character and group development, new wepaons and gear, an update regarding economics and a lot of rules for a game focused on survival. The artwork is as always stunning. This supplement will crank up your gameplay by 100.

Artifact is the essential supplement

The most important aspect of this volume is the addition of “Legacy”, these are incredible PR opportunities, both for players and DM. The constellations also add depth to the collective game.

Already this version 2.0 of the rules, is improved by the management of energy, travel and trade. Not to mention all the pages focused on the Homo Degenesis hunt and the discovery of artefacts. The icing on the cake, each cult is enhanced by an incredible amount of potential opening up new possibilities.

Artifact perfectly combines the RPG aspect of the character sheet with a legacy of action coming from the “Legacy” mechanic. I strongly recommend it to all those who wish to deepen the game around the table

Degenesis Artifact is the exaustive part of an already very complete book (Degenesis Katharsis, the rulebook). With that you will have more tools to play on the Degenesis World. For passionate GM it's a must have !

It's impossible to talk about Artifacts without talking briefly about the core game. Degenesis is a tabletop RPG (duh) strongly based on games like Vampire the masquerade, where the meat and bone of the game is the world, it social structure and the inminent threats. The problem with the core game lies mostly within it's vertical progression. Potentials are the way for the player to make something unique within it's cult, the problem with most potentials are that they are either more dices on a roll, less dices on a penalty roll or more damage/actions. Granted not all potentials are like that. Artifacts fixes everything, you have potentials that let you think outside the box, that let you do more than just adding or substracting dices. That's horizontal progression, letting the player make something new out of their character.

But Artifacts it's not only potentials, it has Legacy too, and new rules, and alignment, how does that even work?

I'll sumarise this for everyone:

Legacy: Think of it like Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition's backgrounds, but with actual impact in lore and gameplay. You could be a henchman or have a patron to add points, but you know that at the momment of creating your character you're tied to someone that is not necessarily a good or a bad thing. You take henchman while being an Apocaliptic and you just tied a noose around your neck, you're automatically disposable meat. (Of course it all depends on your cult and your character)

Alignment: Unlike what you hear from mostly D&D and PF, Alignment it's a bonus around your party, not a player. It benefits all party member as long as they are aligned towards a goal, and the benefits regard the concepts chosen at character creation. This makes things a lot of fun, and makes the so-called session 0 all more enjoyable

New rules: They answer most of the questions that the community had regarding rules or interpretations, and add new ones that enhance both the GM's experience and the players.

I could go on and on but you get the idea, the book is amazing.

Bottom line: Unlike Anabaptists, Artifacts makes everything better, and you should really use this book when playing the game.

Degenesis: Artifacts is great toolkit for GM, and also for players. Includes tones of gear, optional rules fro character creation, combat, healing, potentials, economical systems etc. Lots of fluff, some of artifacts could be easily used as plot hook for many adventures if not campaings! Book provides a lot of information to dive deeper into the world of Degenesis. Not to mention absolutely fantastic design and pictures!
