I wanted to make a completely ruined dungeon but was unable to find all the pieces.  I love the Ruined Dungeon sets already in the community creator list and I recommend them highly.  However, they only had the standard pieces, so I decided to create many more options to create the right atmosphere for my game. I wanted to accomplish a few things while creating the set:

1 - make it compatible with the existing ruined sets in the community such as the catacombs set (bones and skulls), the ruined dungeon set (walls and floors), and the dank dungeon set (mushrooms).

2 - make many options for you to be able to produce the pieces you want in the configuration you want to create the dungeon you want.  To that end I have produced many combinations of the same basic ruined piece with rubble, mushrooms, bones, and skull to give you flexibility

3 - Design the pieces to take advantage of the magnetic bases. For this the set has walls that are the same, except that one is a plain wall and the other has a flame or spear trap set of holes in it.  This allows the game master to use the plain piece until the players trip a trap and then easily switch them out. No more meta-gaming the dungeon layout

4- I created magnetic bottoms for the 2x4 and 4x4 tiles.  These can be downloaded for free from another of my posts

5 - I created double wide dungeon edges to cover the tile and magnetic base to give a clean look to the tiles when using the magnetic bases.  These are available for free from another post.

6- I do not include the standard pieces such as the dungeon door hinge, dungeon door plug, flame or spear for trap  etc..  These can be obtained from the original sets from fat dragon.

The coding in the files is as follows:

The first part is the description such as Ruin Crnr

The next section is the Ruin pattern denoted by an A1, A2 etc..  A1 is the first ruin pattern A2 is the second pattern and so on   Patterns can be significantly different or just be some cracks added for enhancement

The next part is the version v1, v2...  each v1 is a version of the ruined pattern.  So A1 v1 is the base model A1 v2 is the first change to the base such as adding some rubble or a mushroom.  A1 v3 is the second change which could be adding more to v2 or changing it altogether.  I created many combinations to give you flexibility when creating your dungeon.

I hope you enjoy printing and using them as much as I did in making them.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
